Refund Policy

Effective October 17, 2026 · Last updated October 17, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for BrainDV purchases and what happens to your balance when a purchase is refunded. It forms part of the Terms of Use.

1. Purchases are made through Apple or Google

All BrainDV purchases, the one-time BrainDV Unlock and extra export credits, are in-app purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes your payment and holds the payment record. BuroBrain LLC does not sell anything on the Website and never receives your payment card details. Refunds are therefore requested from, and decided by, the store you bought from, under its policies and applicable law.

2. How to request a refund

  • iPhone (Apple): go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, choose "Request a refund" and select the BrainDV purchase. Apple decides the request. We cannot issue, approve or refuse refunds for Apple purchases.
  • Android (Google Play): follow Google's instructions at Get refunds on Google Play. Google Play lets you request a refund yourself for a limited time after purchase. After that, or if your request is declined, you can email us: we can review your request and, where appropriate, refund a Google Play order through Google.

3. How we can help

If something went wrong, email founder@burobrain.com with your platform, the approximate purchase date and, if you have it, the order number from your store receipt. We can:

  • explain your balance and export history;
  • help you restore a purchase (Settings, "Restore purchases");
  • check whether an export was counted in error;
  • help you with a refund request to the store.

Exports that fail are not counted: an export is only counted once the final file has been successfully created. Retakes, checks, crop changes before finalizing, re-downloads of the same export and retries after a failed export are free.

4. What happens to your balance after a refund

When Apple or Google tells us that a purchase has been refunded, charged back or revoked, our server records this in your purchase ledger. Store notifications can take from a few minutes to several days to arrive. Then:

  • Refunded unlock: the unlock is removed on that platform, together with any included exports that remain in the current entitlement year.
  • Refunded credits: the credits from that purchase are removed from your balance.
  • Credits already used: if some refunded credits were already used for exports, we do not charge you. The App shows the shortfall, and credits you buy later on the same platform are first applied to cover it. Contact us if you think a shortfall is wrong.
  • Your files: photos you have already exported stay on your device. We do not delete them.
  • Refund reversed: if a store reverses a refund, our system does not restore the purchase automatically. Email us and we will look into it.

5. Right of withdrawal in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the law may give you a 14-day right to withdraw from a contract for digital content. BrainDV purchases are supplied immediately: the unlock or credits become available as soon as your purchase is verified. When you buy, you ask for immediate supply and, where the store or the App asks you to confirm it, you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once supply has begun. Where you have not given that consent and acknowledgement, you keep the right of withdrawal for 14 days after purchase. To use it, request a refund from the store as described in section 2, or email us with a clear statement that you are withdrawing. Apple and Google may also offer refunds beyond what the law requires.

6. Your other statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live, including remedies for digital content that is faulty or not as described. If you have such a right and the store procedure does not cover it, email us and we will help you exercise it.

7. Account deletion is not a refund

Deleting your BrainDV account or uninstalling the App does not refund a purchase and does not cancel anything with Apple or Google. BrainDV has no subscriptions, so there is nothing to cancel. To get a refund, request it from the store as described above before you delete your account.

8. Prices and taxes

Apple or Google set and show the final price for your storefront, in your currency, before you buy, and determine and collect any taxes. Prices shown on the Website are U.S. reference prices only.
